<p>新生兒容易吐奶的原因在於他們的胃部和喉部還沒有發育成熟。食道短加上蠕動性較差，胃的容積小，氣不容易順利排出，對寶寶來說，喝奶過程多半是躺著的，所以氣體不易排出，因此需要藉由拍嗝把多餘的氣排出，排氣完會比較舒服，也可減緩脹氣、溢奶、吐奶等狀況。</p>

<p>不管是瓶餵還是親餵都鼓勵一定要拍嗝，瓶餵的寶寶在喝奶的過程都是平躺的，且加上是被動餵食，所以常常會將空氣一同吞下肚，雖然相較起來親餵是主動進食，也不一定有嗝，但仍建議親餵要拍嗝</p>

<p>如果在餵奶的過程寶寶不斷的哭鬧，喝了一會奶吐出，過一陣子又討奶，這很有可能是因為肚子裡面有氣，這時候要停止餵奶，先替寶寶拍嗝，等寶寶把嗝打出來後，再繼續餵奶就可以了!</p>
